What is this course about?

The online course “Fundamentals of Digital Project Management in Youth WorkDigital” focuses on the Understanding digital transformation and digital-first thinking in youth NGOs. 

Dive into a 5-module immersive learning journey on Online and e-learning in youth work:

Module 1 – Digital Transformation in Youth Work

Introduces the concept of digital transformation in youth organisations and explains the importance of digital-first thinking in modern project environments. Participants explore key Erasmus+ priorities and reflect on the challenges and opportunities of working in digital environments while assessing the digital readiness of their organisations.

Module 2 – What Is a Digital Project?

Explains the fundamentals of project logic in youth work and distinguishes between traditional, digitised, and digital-native projects. Participants learn about the project lifecycle and analyse examples of digital initiatives within Erasmus+ programmes to identify potential digital project ideas.

Module 3 – Core Project Management Principles

Focuses on the essential elements of project planning and management. Participants learn how to define project scope, set SMART objectives, identify stakeholders, estimate budgets, and map potential risks while building a structured project planning framework.

Module 4 – Methodologies for Digital Projects

Introduces different project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and hybrid approaches commonly used in digital projects. Participants compare these models and learn how to select the most suitable methodology for managing digital initiatives in youth organisations.

Module 5 – Planning and Implementation Framework

Integrates all previously learned elements into a complete digital project planning process. Participants develop a structured project plan that includes objectives, timeline, budget alignment, risk mitigation strategies, and methodological choices for implementing a digital youth project.
